I think long hair looks better on women, it's more feminine and sexy. As long as you don't do a Britney and shave it all off you should be fine. I prefer medium short hair. Above the collar in the back and abvoe the ear lobes on the sides bangs brushed to the side and lots of layers. I think this shows the eoman is very comfident and self assured. Also this is a very professional look.

I've had short (as in generally 2" or less, basically a boy cut) hair for about the past 8 years, and I personally wouldn't change that unless maybe if I was paid *very* well to do so. My hair just doesn't look good much longer than this with the slightly thin hair and wavy texture I seem to have inherited from *both* of my parents. . . but several people have told me that they really like this on me and some that they even wish they had the otherwise "bad hair" to be able to pull it off.
If you have the kind of hair that looks good long and are willing to take care of it, I wouldn't at all object to your having it that way. However, I really don't think the answer to "looking feminine" has all that much to do with hair length unless *you* want it to. Sure, I've been mistaken for a guy a few times on first glance. . . but who really cares what someone who's only going to look at your face for maybe a second thinks, right? Having less hair to distract the eye just means drawing a lot more attention to your features. If those a) are at all attractive and b) actually do look somewhat feminine, why not let that be what shows your feminine side rather than feeling like you *have* to hide behind the traditional long hair?
