My hair is almost to the bottom of my butt.

Everybody says that they love my hair because it's so long and pretty, but my friends say that my hair would look better if I cut it because it's too long.

What do you think?

It doesn't matter what everyone else thinks, it is really up to you and what you like. If the ends are split I would consider cutting a few inches off though. If you do decide to cut it I would take it slow. Start with 2-3 inches. This way it will look healthy and some what different but at the same time you can see what you think of it.

i think its all up to what makes you feel good about yourself and what you think looks best. i mean, if your long hair is your thing then why would you cut it and take away your mojo? but i think it might be a cool change

if you do cut it, don't cut it too short...maybe half way down ur bak would be good because if it's too short then u'll have to wait too long for it to grow back...if u like the medium length then go even shorter...there's nothing wrong with trying new things. It's not the end of the world if it doesn't work out. You can always grow it back.

If you like your hair the way it is, keep it like that. Do whatever you like and makes you feel good. If you want a change just go for it. Go to whatever hair place you go to, find a style you like and tell them what you want. Don't do what other people say they want you to do.

I get this all the time, well up until yesterday. My hair has always been super long, bottom of the butt, and I get loads of compliments on my hair like you said but I needed a haircut bad. Cut it up to your boobs. It will be so much more healthy looking, I promise, and you'll still have good length. I just cut off 10" and its still long. I love my new hair. :o)

if you had it cut to your mid back or a little above even, i think it woud look great layered :D

yes totally cut it i cut my hair last summer and it started to grow bak b4 school started so it will definatly grow bak. First cut of a couple of inches if u like it then cut off more. Start slow .

thats WAY too long. cut it to the middle of your waist and make sure its layered or ull look like some old fashioned country girl. not cool in this era. unless u live in a quiet countryside area..... give urself a new look and cut it! u can always grow it back.

Only do it if you want to. Maybe nothing even too crazy. Just to the middle of your back the first time or something to see if you like the feeling. That way if you find you prefer your long hair you dont have as long to grow back

hmmm.... sounds like you have really long beautiful hair %26amp; you get a lot of attention %26amp; compliments because of it... So, what's the problem? hahaha... nah, I suggest keeping it long %26amp; not cutting it. even though it'll grow back, that will take years to get back to your glory... But if you are a little bored with it, you can try putting it up in different ways. After all, your hair is so long that you have a lot of options.
