So my hair is long..about bra strap length. When growing it out, I didn't do the whole get a trim every 6 wks thing...more like 4 or 5 months, because I wanted it to hurry up %26amp; get long. So now my hair can get frizzyish looking because of split ends all over the place. It's not horrible, but it can get frizzy at times. If I don't want to cut my hair short is there any solution? Any product that works well? Or maybe getting a cut where I can still keep my hair long...like having layers cut into it?

well u need to trim it every month. ask you hairdresser not to cut too much. just to trim th edges so that it doesn't have split ends.
apply conditioner everytime u shampoo and towel dry.
u can ask your hair dresser to cut layers in the front while keeping the length in the back.

when you see "fly-aways" on your hair get and ice cube and dab it on there it will smooth down the frizz and keep it looking that way!!

When you are growing your hair out that 6 wk trim is even more important. As your hair grows more and more of it will split if you don't. You still get growth if you only take off 1/2 an inch at a time because your hair grows faster than that.

i'm in the same situation as you pretty much.. i now get regular trims which helps a little.. i started getting layers in mine and it still keeps the length but makes it look lighter and frames your face better. just ask your stylist for her suggestions. i really like phyto products.. you can get them at sephora or www.sephora.com i use phyto 9.. it works pretty well- makes my hair feel really soft and look healthier. my hairstlyist said she couldnt live without it- and her hair would be a mess without it. i actually just got my mom some too. you could also ask your stylist for products that will help.

Do not over brush and never brush when it is wet.

Long Hair that's kinda damaged...solutions?
I have the same problem. I've been trying to grow out my hair for a long time. I always end up cutting it to get out all the split ends. Eventually i just kept up with my trims. I get nervous my hair dresser will cut it too short but i make sure to tell them i just want a trim (practially a quarter of an inch) I've tried everything, deep conditioners, serums for keeping the frizz down. It finally came down to the trims. It helps, also I've been taking my vitamins which really do help alot. Vit. E and B-12. If anything, try to deep condition your hair regularly if you are proned to dry hair, which leads to split ends and frizz. Split ends suck and they ruin the whole long hair goal. Also I had layers in my hair..one of the many times i tried to grow my hair out and for me it was always disaster. It seemed like the more ends, the more split ends there were. If you colored, flat ironed your hair or style ur hair with heat, your hair can get damaged, so even if its a pain just try to take care of your hair by deep condioning it and getting regular trims. Your hair will be long still just ask for a small trim, in the end healthy long hair looks alot better and is more manageable. When you have split ends or try to brush your hair with frizz you break the ends even more and it just becomes nerve wracking.
