ive read a lot about growing hair but
First, yesterday I bought Mane 'n Tail shampoo %26amp; conditioner and I used it this morning and I want to hear about people who used that and the results. I've heard about "pre-natal" vitamins and it sounds weird? I did use some womens once-a-day thing in spring break and it really seemed like that worked! haha. and i drink a lot of water. what about trimming hair? How much should you trim when you do get it trimmed? I havent gotten a haircut since like February? and I know it's probably bad NOT to cut it but i'm so anxious to make it long that I don't want to even trim it. my hair in 6th grade was like past my boobs.. haha and was/am about 5'6 and thats pretty long i didnt cut it all that year and you could barely tell i had split ends. i straightened it everyday in the school year and it was barely fried and i had no layers. now when i straighten it its just past my armpit and i have a lot of layers and i dont know what to do.. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Growing long hair: i have so many questions?
Ok you are good as long as you get like 1/8 inch trim every 2 months and also if you really can't afford the trim then at least get deep conditioning. It is reaslly good for your hair and it willkeep it smooth.
Growing long hair: i have so many questions?
i havent cut mine for 2 years, if you cut hair it doesnt grow any quicker, it makes it look neater thats all, i use mane and tail and add organic honey to the conditioner, i have no split ends and my hair is shiny, i grow about an inch a month Report It
Growing long hair: i have so many questions?
you need to trim it! healthy hair needs to be trimmed at least every five months. just trim about an inch and it'll grow right back, don't worry.
Growing long hair: i have so many questions?
My aunt uses mane n tail and its a really good product, it makes your hair grow a lot but you just have to stick with it

Keep it trimmed and in good shape, avoid heat styling and teasing it. Take a multivitamin with b complex in it and eat a healthy diet and drink water.
Growing long hair: i have so many questions?
you have to trim your hair at least once every 2 months just about 1/2 an inch it will grow faster that way. and also try and braid it every night. like french braids or just pig tail braids. it grows faster when you do that. the longest ive had my hair was down to my elbows so i know. and make sure your using a thickening shampoo that will make the hair stronger and able to grow faster.
Growing long hair: i have so many questions?
believe it or not, your hair actually grows more if you trim it regularly. hair should be trimmed every 6 weeks or so. the longer you wait for a trim, the more your hair dresser will need to cut off. so, you're only hurting yourself. secondly, if you want to try vitamins, my uncle is a vitamitician and when i asked him the same question, he said try a "kelated multi-mineral." good luck! let me know how it goes.

I used to be able to sit on my hair but recently cut it all off, but I have many long haired friends.
If you get good nutrition your hair will grow at a regular rate, which is slow, but it will just keep growing a little every week. Guaranteed. The reason people's hair doesn't get any longer even though it is growing, is the ends are breaking off. So a lot of people literally reach a breaking point where they just can't grow their hair any longer, and more breaks off as they try to drag their comb through their hair.
So you have to concentrate on minimizing breakage. That means conditioning well and using a pick first to work out knots gently so you don't have to fight so hard to get a comb through all those feet of locks. It means not using rubber bands and choosing soft fabric scrunchees instead. The reason people talk about trimming is if the ends split, not only do they lookd fried, they are much more prone to break. Perming and hair dryers, curling irons and straightening irons, and hair dye, dry out your hair and make it more prone to breakage.
Use hot oil treatments if it is dry. Let your hair air dry instead of frying it with a dryer. Use a simple style so you don't have to work it to death or fry it with heat while you are trying to grow it.
So basically just be aware of breakage. You should see it matted in your hair brush and clogging your drain if your hair is breaking. Take steps to minimize breakage.

Keep your hair healthy by getting a regular trim. Conditioning under a hair dryer or with a shower cap helps to keep those split ends under control. Deep conditioning every now and then really keeps the hair healthy. Limit your blow drying, and heavy brushing. Avoid hair color if you can. Coloring and bleaching really can damage the hair. Massage your scalp. When the roots get stimulated, they recieve more blood flow and nutrients they need for growth.

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.
First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)
Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)
Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)
Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short
Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!
The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower
You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.
When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo %26amp; condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years
You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.
